When I first graduated from law school, we were just starting to talk about personalization and focusing on different areas of the law. I made a conscientious decision to focus on one area because I value this type of law, and as a firm, we decided to remain focused on this type of law. Since Alice Sackett and Margie Komes Putzler have joined the firm, we’ve tried to provide this type of legal practice, so we can meet the needs of people in the area.
In the past, we’ve seen clients take their cases to much larger firms only to come back when they realize the difference. We don’t treat our clients as a number. We get to know our clients. We see them in the community, and we believe this makes a true difference in the standard of legal representation we provide.
As she takes on her new role as a partner, I want to take the time to introduce Alice Sackett if you have not yet had the pleasure of meeting her. Originally from the Kane County State’s Attorneys’ Office, she joined the firm in 2012 after serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney for 13 years. I was immediately impressed with her strong litigation skills in the courtroom – specifically her ability to maneuver and react quickly during a trial.
As the firm continues to grow and transition, Alice and I, along with Margie Komes Puztler and our entire staff, see an ongoing legacy of quality legal advice. At Turner Law Group, we never want to be a high-volume, low-value firm, and we will continue working hard to maintain the strong relationship we have with this community by upholding the ethics this firm was founded on.
